Definition

Millard-Gubler syndrome refers to a collection of clinical features resulting from damage to the ventral pons:
1) Ipsilateral seventh nerve palsy
2) Ipsilateral sixth nerve palsy
3) Contralateral hemiplegia




Aetiology

Millar-Gubler syndrome is caused by damage to the ventral pons which can occur as a result of various processes including neoplasia, infection and inflammatory disorders such as MS.
