Investigations


A significant amount of resources are being invested attempting to identify novel biomarkers for Parkinson's disease. One recent example is a blood-based α-synuclein (α-syn) seed amplification assay (SAA) which has been reported to successfully detect the disease years before the onset of neurological symptoms.
