Headache in pregnancy
Headaches are a common symptom in pregnancy. The approach to headache during pregnancy requires some special considerations because:
- Some pathologies that only occur in pregnancy like pre-eclampsia and eclampsia are important and potentially life-threatening disorders that can present with headache.
- Pregnancy is associated with increased risk of pathologies such as CVST.
- Pregnancy complicates the management of many causes of headache because of concerns about the safety of certain drugs during pregnancy.
